Nov. 29th, 2005 @ 07:17 pm Today was eventful
I got up early for some reason at 7. I left for my golf class like normal and actually didn't have to stay for long because it was cancelled. So I went to Chick-Fil-A for some lunch and on the way back to Solano for speech practice something happened.

I hydroplaned across two lanes of I-80 westbound and ended up spinning off to the shoulder.

God was watching over me today, because no cars hit me, I didn't hit any cars, and my truck has no damage on it. While I was waiting for the tow truck to pull me out, it stopped raining so I was comfortable standing outside my truck.

So I went to practice and as I was driving back home, I noticed another accident on westbound 80. It happened in the exact same spot where I had hydroplaned earlier coming off the on-ramp from travis blvd.

So yea, it scared the crap out of me when it happened, but now I'm fine and just glad I was gone when I was so that I wasn't a part of the 2nd accident.

Today I joined the iPod revolution. I went to my work, Staples and bought one of the new 60GB iPod with the color screen. I like it so far. I paid like $490.00 for it. $400 for the iPod and the $90 3 year plan so I can return it in like 3 years to get a new iPod that comes out. At least I had the 12% discount at Staples so it's like I didn't have to pay the tax and a little more.

Jun. 27th, 2005 @ 02:33 am omg, I'm so upset.
ok so I'm up talking to Kristie, then out of nowhere, I get like 6 random calls from three different numbers.

I didn't even pick up cuz they were from random area codes.

The numbers were 216-416-0033, 612-524-0455, and 312-279-0002. I searched google and the only link i found helpful was this one. http://www.bozzysworld.com/archives/2005/04/19/what_the_fuck.php

Has anyone else had this happen to them?

BTW, those numbers called me at like 1:30 to 2am.

Your brain: 60% interpersonal, 100% visual, 100% verbal, and 140% mathematical!
Congratulations on being 400% smart! Actually, on my test, everyone is. The above score breaks down what kind of thinking you most enjoy doing. A score above 100% means you use that kind of thinking more than average, and a score below 100% means you use it less. It says nothing about how good you are at any one, just how interested you are in each, relatively. A substantial difference in scores between two people means, conclusively, that they are different kinds of thinkers.

Matching Summary: Each of us has different tastes. Still, I offer the following advice, which I think is obvious:

  1. Don't date someone if your interpersonal percentages differ by more than 80%.
  2. Don't be friends with someone if your verbal percentages differ by more than 100%.
  3. Don't have sex with someone if their math percentage is over 200%.

My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

free online dating free online dating
You scored higher than 66% on interpersonal

free online dating free online dating
You scored higher than 75% on visual

free online dating free online dating
You scored higher than 82% on verbal

free online dating free online dating
You scored higher than 83% on mathematical

Mar. 18th, 2005 @ 10:31 pm Anyone Want To See Some Basketball Games?
Ok, so I posted before I believe about how I got to work at Arco Arena with Staples cuz there was a promotional thing that I was helping out at. Well, I was able to get a couple extra tickets for a couple of friends, but apparently they couldn't go. So I'm going to ask here, if there's any 2 people who want to be my friend and come see the CIF State High School Basketball Championships tomorrow at Arco Arena.

The Tickets are for the games from 9:30am to like 5, and the other tickets are for the Div. 1 games. There are 2 tickets for both sets of games. So you'd get to go to both.

Post a link with your contact info, if you're interested in the tickets.

BTW, the seats are in the Maloofs' Personal Box Suite, and you'll be getting free food and drink for the entire day.

Mar. 3rd, 2005 @ 12:53 am I <3 Staples.
Ok so I found out today that, after I've only been working there for a month and a half, I am going to be a Staples Representative @ Arco Arena during the CIF High School Basketball Playoffs.

At first I was like, ok that's pretty cool. Sounds like fun. But then my manager told me like what happened before when they did it, and I was like, so freakin happy that I was chosen to go be a representative.

Apparently last year when they did it, what happened was like they had a suite or box seat to sit in to watch the games when they weren't working, and they had food provided for them, and yea. I can't wait to go. It's happening next Friday and Saturday. So I'm lke counting the days till then.

Also, even better. I get paid to be there and I don't have to pay for anything. Don't have to pay for food, admission, etc. I love my job.

Jan. 25th, 2005 @ 07:34 pm Just an Update
I haven't written a lot in here.

Just a couple things to mention.

I had a meeting with Superintendent Aycock a couple weeks ago. We talked about the situation of a third "comprenehsive" high school.

Started my 2nd semester at Solano. My classes seem pretty easy. My Econ and english may be the most work for me. My music class is a music class that's for people who don't know much about music, so that class is a breeze for me. If anyone wants to know, it's Music 5. My Speech class is just speaking in front of the class and giving speeches, so I don't think I'll have a problem in that class, especially since I don't mind speaking in front of people about different topics.

I got a job at Staples. I applied for it back around Christmas time, like a couple days before Christmas. I had an interview after I had my meeting with Superintendent Aycock. I thought the interview went well. They said they would call within a couple of days, but they never did. I checked in with a manager about 4 or 5 days after the interview. The manager told me they had been busy and never was able to call anyone. So a couple days later, when I'm at a school board meeting, my dad calls me and tells me that they called and wanted to know when I could start. So I end up working 8 hours on Friday, 6 on Saturday, 9 hours on Sunday, and I didn't have my orientation until Monday.

Does that sound strange to anyone else?

It did to me, until I found out that they hired a worker like 3 weeks before. He had problems not coming to work, so they just fired him and then I took all his hours over the weekend and for the rest of this week. Hopefully I won't be working as much as I do right now, because I asked for 24-30 hours a week, and I'm already going to work this week for about 40 hours, maybe less.

I'm probably going to be in office supplies if you ever want to stop and say hi.

Wow, so much has happened lately. For the people who don't know I lost the election big time. It's not a bad thing though, because now I've made a name for myself. It's like I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing that when I walked into the school district's offices today, people who I never met knew who I was and why I was there.

Omg, this whole school district issue, there's soo much mismanagement going on. They still manage to lose $1.1 million after all the programs they've cut. Teachers haven't had a raise in 3 years. They're saying that Vacaville doesn't need a third comprehensive high school even though voters back in 2001 were led to believe that we do. There's a lot of mismanagement going on and I think they know that I'm on to their mistakes. It's not that they're blantantly trying to use the funds for something else, it's just they cannot handle money well.

The reason I think they know I'm on to them is because I walked into the school district's offices today, and 3 secretaries/personnel knew who I was after I mentioned my name. They think that they can spend $45 million on a school that will teach in the same vocational subjects that both Wood and Vaca High teach now. Tell your parents don't let them waste your parents' tax dollars.

You're California!

In many ways, you are larger than life and almost defy description. You
certainly love to shake, rattle, and roll with the best of them. You have a generally
sunny disposition, but are capable of resorting to harsh extremes when pressed. You are
more likely than most to become rich, or famous, or perhaps both. While you have the
golden touch in so many regards, your respect for actors is a little over-zealous. This
endless faith in actors needs to be terminated.
